Facial Rejuvenation Therapy

(cosmetic acupuncture)

Are you looking for a natrual alternative to botox, injections or surgery?

Would you like to look AND feel amazing?

Facial Rejuvenation Therapy is another word for Cosmetic Acupuncture. It is a natural alternative to cosmetic injections and surgical procedures.

Whilst it may sound like a relatively new thing, Cosmetic Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years!

Facial Rejuvenation Therapy or Cosmetic Acupuncture is:

  • relatively painless

  • safe and gentle

  • a relaxing and effective treatment.

As a Holistic Therapist we see the body as a whole and there may be other areas such as, but not limited to, feet, hands, elbow and/or leg areas that are targeted with acupuncture needles when presenting for Cosmetic Acupuncture.

What can Cosmetic Acupuncture help with?

Cosmetic Acupuncture:

  • can help improve skin tone and reduce face muscular tension, therefore having a significant effect on reducing wrinkles.

  • helps with stimulating the production of collagen, encouraging circulation and opening blockages in the flow of vital energy.

  • restore the vital flow of energy and therefore improve health by inserting acupuncture needles into specified points along meridian lines.

Cosmetic Acupuncture is like a triple threat against the ageing process.

  • Tones muscles and relaxes tightness

  • Stimulates the production of collagen

  • Helps boost circulation

As we are approaching the body with a holistic approach, you may find that in turn you:

  • sleep better

  • have more energy

  • feel less fatigued

  • have a feeling of balance from within

  • reduce TMJ tension

  • reduce sinus pressure

  • experience less tension headaches

  • lessen the effects of hormonal issues

FAQ

Does Cosmetic Acupuncture hurt?

No, it does not hurt. Super fine needles are used, often finer than half a strand of your hair! Many clients report how relaxing a session is and unexpectantly find they sleep better, feel more energised, and report an overall balanced feeling.

Is there any downtime to Cosmetic Acupuncture?

There is no downtime associated with facial acupuncture. We do recommend being gentle with your body after a session as the effect of acupuncture continues to work even after the needles have been taken out. It's very rare, but very minor and temporary bruising may occur at the site of needle insertion.

What type of needles do you use for Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Very fine, single use, sterile and disposable needles are used for all procedures. A combination of highest quality acupuncture needles are used and are made in either Japan or Germany.

Can everyone experience Cosmetic Acupuncture?

For most people acupuncture is safe. However there are a few contraindications for Cosmetic Acupuncture.

It is NOT recommended in the following circumstances. Patients with:

  • Diabetes

  • Cancer

  • Pacemakers

  • Bleeding disorders such as Haemophilia

  • Blood borne diseases

  • Acute immune disorders (such as rheumatoid arthritis)

  • Incompetent heart valve or valve replacements

How does Cosmetic Acupuncture work?

Cosmetic Acupuncture helps restore the qi (energy) and blood to the face whilst helping correct internal imbalances. Acupuncture needles help increase the production of collagen and increase circulation which leads to more oxygenation and hydration of the skin. Body points are also integrated in a treatment session to help bring your body to a state of balance and to help decelerate the ageing process from within.

How soon can I expect results from Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Results will vary person to person. We recommend a course of 10 treatments every week where possible, and then move to a maintenance program every 4-8 weeks. The healthier you are and better you look after yourself will help you get faster and better results. Unlike Botox and fillers, nothing is being injected into your face. Needles are inserted at certain locations to help:

  • stimulate collagen

  • encourage the flow of vital energy

  • loosen tight muscles
